Dr. Sheena Mason

  • Dr. Sheena Mason earned her Ph.D. in English literature “with distinction” in May 2021 from Howard University. She then joined the faculty at SUNY Oneonta as a tenure-track Assistant Professor in English literature where she teaches Africana and American literature. Her textbook titled Theory of Racelessness: A Case for Philosophies of Antirace(ism) presents a framework that helps us to stop the cause and effects of racism in its tracks. Her second book, one for a general public, that presents her theory will be released late 2023 or early 2024. Theory of Racelessness, her educational firm, helps organizations achieve a truly inclusive and antiracist culture. It enables learners to unify, heal, and reconcile around otherwise polarizing topics. Dr. Mason is passionate about helping young people access their fullest potential through education.
