Jessica Barnes is an international business student, with a finance concentration at Howard university. She is involved on campus as the inaugural team cohort leader for the HPS center for financial excellence scholar program. She also serves as the treasurer of Ladies of the Quad Social club , the fundraising chair of the Howard university girls club volleyball team and on the community service committee of the Howard university chapter of Black Girls Vote.

She has a passion for spoken word, community service and women’s awareness issues. With this in mind she works with the teens of Authoring Action as a engagement artist/mentor and as a social media outreach representative for Prosperity Place, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing resources to women experiencing domestic violence. Jessica places a big emphasis on impact and is constantly seeking ways she can improve the world around her.
